Hotel Del Luna: Episode 14

Wow, I never saw that coming.

Who would have thought Chung-myung was that firefly? I mean, he had spent a thousand years flying over Man-weol and even she didn't know! Lol.

Seriously speaking though, I love how this episode has hit all the right notes emotionally. I was sad how Chung-myung had gotten himself in a situation where either choices he'd make would have had undesirable consequences, yet I understand Man-weol's resentment since he basically annihilated all of her people, including Yeon-woo, who was her only family. Even if Chung-myung felt that all of these deaths were necessary to bargain for Man-weol's life, it doesn't erase the fact that he has created a hell for her, and that he didn't even bothered uttering an apology.

However, it was all the more sad how Man-weol has been so hung up on the past, her hatred towards Chung-myung and the guilt of being the reason behind her people's deaths, that it took her a thousand years to finally let go of her resentment. And even though Chung-myung waited a thousand years too to show himself up and be forgiven, I just love that Man-weol letting go of all the burden that has been weighing on her for so long wasn't really because of Chung-myung but Yeon-woo, and that the love that she now has pretty much outweighs all of the hatred that she had harbored in her heart.

After all, what she and Chung-myung had wasn't even love to begin with. If there's anyone in this show who truly loves, it sure has got to be Chan-sung. His unwavering support and devotion to Man-weol (plus that awesome crying scene) are definitely an attestment to that, and I can't wait to find out how the Hong sisters are going to wrap all these up in the next few eps.

Make it a neat bow please, drama gods. Man-weol deserves a happy ending after a century's worth of miserable fiasco.
