The National School's Maintenance Week or more commonly known as Brigada Eskwela/Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan, is a yearly campaign encouraged by the Department of Education to ensure that schools are ready and conducive to learning by the start of classes come June. It is a joint effort of internal and external stakeholders as well as LGUs and NGOs who takes a time off from current tasks to lend a hand in repairing and doing maintenance work for the benefit of the school.
Today is the start of the week-long campaign for school's nationwide, and will continue up until Saturday, May 24, 2014.

Help can also be given through donations in time or in kind.
It is always a pleasure to lend a helping hand, to care without reserve, and to give without expecting something in return. No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted. As Desmond Tutu puts it, "...it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
